Man did it feel good to get back out West!! We had a season hiatus on our annual trip to Utah for obvious reasons, but we weren't going to miss it this year. In a typical year we spend a week in Utah for meetings and testing gear with the brands based there. This year we opted for a super early flight in order to get the absolute most out of the trip. We landed in Salt Lake City, UT by 10am and we were on snow at Park City Mountain Resort before lunch!
Off the plane, grabbed the rental car, smashed a burrito and a beer, and got geared up in the parking lot!
Tech talk on the hill with the product and marketing team from Atomic! Honestly this is why this trip is so valuable. Sure the skiing is great, but hearing whats new with the brand and the products directly from "the horses mouth" instead of a catalog is invaluable.
George finding some chalk among the trees on some 2023 Bents.
When we showed up, it hadn't snowed in 5 weeks, but we managed to find some soft or at least chalky snow every day.
Eric laying it over on the Maverick 95Ti.
The Atomic crew has no issues bending skis!
Starting to feel that early flight...and the elevation.
Joe's first day ever in Utah did not disappoint. Was there powder? No, but the sun was out and the groomers were fire.
Angulation.
We finished the day at the Pig Pen for some Apres beverage and banter about how impressed we were with the new Bents on hard snow. Off to Deer Valley tomorrow with the crew from Rossignol/Dynastar/Lange.
