Bern Helmets..... RULE!

Posted June 30, 2010 @ 2:10pm | by George Michaelsen

Last season I made the switch in helmet brands, from Giro to Bern.  I thought the Giro G-10 was as good as it got.  It fit well, was light, didn't feel like I was wearing a helmet, and it felt better than wearing a hat.  Oh, and it protected my head which is important.

Then I was skiing at Stratton last year, during the EPIC snowstorm that dumped over 4 feet of snow in Vermont, and the Bern rep, gave me this helmet

Bern Helmets

I am now completely on the Bern Helmet train, not only does the helmet look sick, but it's the most comfortable thing I have put on my head, EVER!  If you like skiing fast, skiing while it dumps snow, and even rain, this helmet keeps all the cold air, snow, and moisture out because of the knitting that wraps all the way around the helmet and covers your ears.  No more forehead getting cold on frigid days because the knitting provides extra protection in that gap between helmet plastic and the top of your goggles.  The knitting is also removable, for those warmer days on the hill or at Mt. Hood.

If you haven't tried one of these on you really should, they look sick and are in my opinion the most comfortable.
