Jones Snowboards has continued to push snowboarding forward since its inception. The brand has expanded far beyond just building incredible snowboards and now has the full gamut from bindings to backcountry gear to outerwear, and plenty in between. This is all made possible through the passion and love for snowboarding that Jones' founder Jeremy Jones and the rest of the Jones team based in Truckee, CA share and transcend throughout the industry. Myself and Dylan were lucky enough to get the invite from our sales rep, and good friend Mike, to head west and meet the Jones crew, explore the Tahoe area, and do some amazing snowboarding.
We had two resort days planned with a backcountry day guided by Alpenglow Expeditions in the middle. All three days were spent with a pretty large group consisting of us East Coasters, a Canadian crew, Jones staff, and some Jones team riders. We lucked out and got about a foot of snow throughout the morning on our first resort day which made for some great turns throughout the week. Josh, Colin, and Seth from Jones served as our guides on the resort days and Glen Poulsen, Tahoe legend, was the primary guide for our backcountry day. Glen took us into a zone known as Nat Geo Bowl, which Alpenglow Expeditions has exclusive access rights to. The terrain, both on resort and in the Nat Geo Bowl, was absolutely insane and whether we were getting there via lift or high output skin laps up everyone was shredding.
