2013 Atomic Alibi Ski Review

Posted March 26, 2012 @ 4:00pm | by Eric Gerrmann

Atomic Alibi Skis 2013Atomic has created another new edition to their 2012/2013 line-up. The Atomic Alibi Skis

I skied the Atomic Alibi on a gorgeous blue bird day at Stratton, VT. With a couple inches the night before, the groomers had perfect snowpack for high speed shredding. I took out a pair of 180 cm Alibi's, which I skied all morning, and could not stop smiling until I went in for lunch. It is a perfect blend of rocker camber, with just the right amount of width underfoot. The skis ripped the groomers and blasted through any wooded area I could find. The Alibi was incredibly quick edge-to-edge and made on-trail carving effortless. I was particularly stoked on the skis light-weight. Atomic has done an excellent job of designing skis that feel extremely solid and torsionally stable while skiing, but are unbelievably light in weight.

This brand new ski is an east coast shredder's dream. Atomic designed the Alibi with a, "If you can do it, I can do it better" attitude, which gives the ski unparalleled versatility. With Atomic's All-mountain Rocker and dimensions boasting 132/98/120, the Alibi will dominate varying snow conditions and will put the most extreme terrain into submission. Atomic built this ski with a full woodcore, step down sidewall and titanium backbone. All features that give the Alibi torsional rigidity and unlimited energy no matter what size turn. The most intriguing new feature of the Alibi is the titanium backbone. The metal is inlayed inside the ski in the shape of a human spine. This not only provides snap and overall stiffness, but also allows the Alibi to be extremely light weight. Whether it's long arcing carves or quick short turns, this ski will dish out anything you desire.

The Atomic Alibi is a first-class edition to their 2012/2013 line-up. It is a true all-mountain ski that both intermediates and experts will be raving about. Whether it's work, school or any other responsible activity, and you need an excuse to appease the powers that be... Atomic has your Alibi.

2013 Atomic Alibi Ski Review aka The Bottom Line: Atomic nailed it with this ski. It appeals to a variety of different skiers, and performs well on any type of terrain or snow condition. This is going to be a hot ski for the 2013 season.
