Today's focus was as much on the clothes as it was on the skis. We tested some softgoods from Norrona’s new line for the 22/23 season. This included the Women’s Pro Pants and a couple of their thermo jackets, which kept us all comfortable on one of those really cold January days. It was one of the warmest jackets our team has been able to test this season.
For skis, today was all about the Fischer Ranger. We did some testing of these earlier this winter out in Colorado, but this was the first time most of our team back east got to fully feel them out at Sunapee. The snow was hard but not icy, perfect for groomers. Here’s an early review from one of our testers, Devon, with her opinion on the new lineup.
“The skis were amazing - some of the best I’ve skied this season,” said Devon, head of our softgoods department. “The new Ranger, particularly the 96, was the perfect blend of playful and stable. On a hardback snow day, it can rip but it was also really fun and playful when you feel like popping off rollers or cruising vs. carving.”
