Just like on the men’s side of things, the Ranger series from Fischer was overhauled going into 2019-20. While the old (pre-2020) Ranger 89s were a great lightweight option for an east-coast touring ski, the new Ranger 90 that replaces it is a lot more substantial on-trail. Two sheets of metal mean that grip on hardpack is way better and these won’t feel as nervous or washy at speeds as the old Rangers. More metal and more grip on hardpack does mean more weight, you can still absolutely throw a Salomon/Atomic Shift on these, but they’ll just be a bit heavier for the uphill than a Black Pearl, Ripstick 88, or Kore 93. It’ll be more fun at speeds on the downhill than all of them though.

TLDR: Expert's will love it, intermediates can handle it.
Recommended Binding: The Fischer Ranger 92 Ti's do NOT include a binding, the cool skis never do.
