It's usually pretty easy to tell where a board is most at home. That's not the case with the Hometown Hero.

COMFORT ZONE = EVERY ZONE.

The Hometown Hero is once again one of the top-tested boards among our testing team here at The Ski Monster. Year after year this is one of our favorite boards because it’s one of very few boards that has no problem handling anything that's thrown its way. It feels stable and confident at high speeds but doesn’t lack maneuverability when tackling more technical stuff. It grips well in a carve, is energetic in and out of turns, and has a nimble feel in tight terrain. Anyone who likes to explore the whole mountain can fully trust the Hometown Hero to perform wherever they go. Its flex profile is what separates it from most boards in the category. The nose and tail are stiff and burly, generating high-speed power and stability. The flex becomes more forgiving between your feet, and the board is easier to bend torsionally, making it easy to manipulate turn shapes or change direction quickly in the trees.

It’s a balance of high performance and ease of use that is rare among boards. In most cases, you have to give up one for the other. So often high-performing boards feel too demanding at lower speeds while more entry-level boards feel like they lack confidence. Not the case with the Hometown Hero. A less experienced rider will find that it’s easy to balance on, doesn’t feel overbearing, and initiates a turn with ease. An expert rider will quickly find it’s got more than enough oomph to handle high speeds and gnarly terrain. There’s no explanation beyond Burton has found a formula that allows the Hometown Hero to be everything at once.

Who is this board for? Everyone. Alright maybe not everyone, but everyone who likes snowboarding.

Who isn't this board for? Skiers.
