ALBERT EINSTEIN PRO MODEL.

I read in a book that Photons have no mass but can carry momentum, and can exert force. I'm not fully sure what it means, but it sounds badass, so it makes sense that this boot is called the Photon. Unchanged for 2024, the Photon remains one of the best snowboard boots out there. From fit and feel to performance they check all the boxes and will get the job done for a wide range of riding styles. A narrow fit paired with a medium-stiff flex gives the boot a secure and responsive feel that's needed to maximize what you can achieve on the hill. The flex profile of the boot makes for efficient riding. It's not overly demanding for progressing riders and will provide enough stability and responsiveness for some more aggressive riding. The Photon is not quite as responsive as the Burton Ion, its stiffer counterpart, but a more forgiving feel will make it less work at lower speeds.

The dual zone Boa with lockdown tech pulls your heel back in the boot, making sure the energy transfer from boot to board is immediate and powerful. Your ankle and shin are supported well thanks to the Imprint 3 liner and Focus Cuff, while B3 Gel and a low-profile midsole prevent your feet from feeling fatigued before you even head in for lunch. Like to charge down groomers? Find untouched stashes off trail? Take a couple of laps through the park? This is the complete package. The Burton Photon Boa boots know how to get the job done, do you?

Bootfitter's notes:

The Burton Photon runs true to size with a narrow fit and great ankle lock. For someone with a narrow foot and low instep, there should be no problem sliding into a Photon in your exact measurement and feeling that snug but comfortable fit. If that's you, you should have your sights set on the Photon or something else from Burton. If you have a wide foot or a big calf, the Photon's going to feel snug, and unless you're fine with more pressure for increased heel hold, you're probably going to be happier in something wider like a K2 Maysis
