This past weekend a bunch of ski resorts opened their lift lines for the first time this season. If you're wondering where to ski before Thanksgiving, you will have some options.
The Colorado resorts along I-70 had a little help from mother nature for their opening weekend festivities. Receiving anywhere from 4-8 inches of snow, these resorts were hustling skiers to the summit for some mid-November freshies. The New England resorts were not as lucky. Fortunately, they were still able to get the season going with top-to-bottom runs and clever terrain park designs. As more resorts slowly start to open, there should be plenty of riding options come Turkey Day.
These are some shots of the ski areas that are currently open for the 2012-2013 ski season.
