Wake Surfing Tips: July 4th - All Eyes On You

So your probably going to be out on the boat this weekend with a bunch of people, especially girls, who aren't part of your "usual crew". This is awesome for you, the avid wake surfer, because it's your time to shine! Everyone will be in amazement that YOU can surf behind a boat with no rope. You will be in your wake surf glory explaining how to get up on the board, how to weigh down the boat and how to relax on the wave. When it's your turn to hop in the water and show everyone your skills, don't get caught up in the moment you need to remember a couple of things before you decide to throw the rope. 

I know you want to amaze everyone will your surf skills, but keep in mind that everyone on the boat wants to document their 4th of July with their phones, which will be immediately posted to the internet. So you need to make sure that your looking as dope as possible for the pictures, videos and of course the girls on the boat, who have never even heard of wake surfing never mind seen anyone shred it. 

Once you get up on the board (first attempt of course) you get yourself into the sweet spot and comfortably position your feet, without throwing the rope back into the boat. Then you need to fix your board shorts because they are probably riding up your leg exposing your untanned thigh, which is not a steezy looking facebook tag. Now that your shorts are looking sick you need to fix your hair. Spike it up, put it to the side, pull it back, ect... Just do whatever it is you do with your hair to make it look cool. And when you finally feel completely comfortable on the board and your appearance is in order, it's time toss the rope and shred some wave.
