For the 2012 season K2 decided it was time to revamp and create a team board, the result was the K2 Happy Hour Snowboard. From tip to tail, this board was completely designed by K2’s team.
The Happy Hour is that true park slasher, huge hit board with tons of pop that can stomp landings like no other and ride the rest of the mountain like a boss. It boasts K2’s Flatline technology, meaning the board has a true flat base profile with no camber, which results in pure stability. The tips and tails have been softened up a bit to add to the playful factor. The board also boasts K2’s patented Ollie Bar in the middle of the board which…you guessed it, helps you ollie!
A nearly full-length sidewall helps drop weight due to the sidewall not extending all the way to the tip and tail. The sidewall exists throughout the rest of the board, which is sure to deliver maximum energy to the edges when needed. Last but not least is Carbon Web Technology. The Happy Hour has a carbon weave which has been implemented into the board to add tortional rigidity.
Enough with the tech talk. This board is covered in sick graphics from the base to the top sheet, all hand selected by the K2 team themselves, pulled from fun sketches and nifty art ideas over the years. The tip and tail are pointed at each end giving the board a completely unique shape but serve no other purpose than looking sick.
K2 Happy Hour Snowboard Review aka The Bottom Line: This is a sick all mountain freestyle snowboard in a truely unique shape.
