Apres Ski at Bunyan Room - Loon Mountain, NH

Loon Mountain in Lincoln, NH is New England’s most convenient ski resort. Located directly off of Interstate 93, Loon Mtn is just over a two-hour drive from Boston. The mountain offers exceptional White Mountain skiing, a plethora of lodging options and a super fun Après Ski scene. The town of Lincoln is filled with bars and restaurants ready to cater to all winter vacation goers. Before you head into town make sure you start your Après Ski on the mountain at The Paul Bunyan Room. The Paul Bunyan Room, located in the Octagon Lodge (the gondola side), is a perfect spot to grab your first cocktail of the day.

The Bunyan Room is on the second floor of the lodge and can be accessed directly from the slopes. As you enter from the outside, you walk across a wrap-around deck with plenty of standing room for your entire crew. The deck looks directly out at the Seven Brothers chair lift, and is perfect for soaking up mid-day sun while enjoying a premier draft beverage. The bar itself has a classic local ski bar feel. With a fussball table, popcorn machine and glass beer mugs hanging from bar, this place will make you feel like your Après-ing in a ski-house man cave. The Bunyan Room has an excellent selection of draft and bottled beers. After a hard day skiing, I tend to gravitate towards a premium local brew. Theres nothing like a microbrew after an awesome day on the mountain.
