Mammut Stoney HS Pant

THE RIPPING WILL COMMENCE SHORTLY

The Mammut Stoney HS ski pants have everything you need and are ready to attack the mountain. Mammut built the Stoney pants with their DRYtech Premium 2-Layer material for optimal wind and waterproofing, as well as incredible breathability. With strategically placed pockets and side leg vents, the Stoney pants have excellent storage and increased ventilation. Seriously, these pants are super lightweight and it’s insane how well they breathe. Mammut also gives these pants a mesh-lining that helps add warmth for the bitter cold days without all of the bulk of a full-on synthetic insulator. The Mammut Stoney HS ski pants are the perfect everyday ski pant if ripping is on the agenda. (Which it always is)

FAQ

What terrain are these pants going to be best in?

We know it sounds clichè but really everywhere. This definitely a freeride inspired pant, but one that is going to be great at the resort too. It is geared more towards the backcountry though, with a crazy lightweight feel and super-breathability that you need when you’re working really hard to slash those deep turn in powder. If you spend a little bit of time everywhere, and need a pair of pants that’s going to excel off the back while still looking great at the resort, this is the one.

So do they have insulation or not? Is it a shell?

Does the Stoney Pant have insulation? Short answer: No. Longer answer: Kindaaa. Everybody knows that insulation-free shell pants are better in the backcountry. Less weight means less bulk, and better performance when it comes to wind and waterproofing. Plus when you’re working harder in deep snow, your body gives off more heat, so you don’t need super warm insulated pants. With these pants there’s no formal insulation, which is great for the backside, but they do have a mesh lining that won’t be crazy warm, but will definitely make the pants generally warmer, so you won’t be freezing on frigid days.

Is there a powder skirt attachment?

Yup. Powder skirt is always a good call for keeping snow from getting under your jacket. With Mammut pants, you can easily attach them to any Mammut jacket to keep all the snow out.
