This boot is built for riders with wide feet OR riders with narrow feet who prioritize comfort over performance.
People who love the K2 Maysis, LOVE the K2 Maysis. It's been one of the most popular snowboard boots every year for as far back as I can remember. The reason the boot is loved so much by riders everywhere is that it's a comfort-oriented boot that doesn't compromise too much on performance. It’s a medium-stiff boot that no matter your foot shape, is going to keep you locked in for the edge-to-edge response needed to shred. It’s a definite go-to for anyone with a wider foot, but riders with a narrow foot who prioritize comfort in exchange for some performance will also appreciate the extra width.
The reason any rider, even ones with narrow feet, can get down with the Maysis is because of the way the Double BOA system is designed. The Conda system from K2 gives the boot the ability to lock down any dogs. The function of the front BOA is pretty standard, it controls all the laces on the outside of the boot, but the side BOA is going to control the Conda system, which is an internal harness that wraps your instep and hugs your ankle for maximum heel hold control. The tighter you go on the side BOA, the tighter the Conda gets, and the more locked in your ankle. The Maysis is one of our most popular boots because it makes sense for so many riders. No matter your foot shape, the mid-stiff boot provides a responsive feel and is ready to take on whatever you throw at it.
It has a wider fit with a roomy toe box and for a lot of people, feels comfortable right out of the box (at least compared to some of the more narrow options). The Maysis is going to fit best on a wide foot, but it doesn’t only work for wide feet. If you happen to have a narrow foot, but having the most snug, locked-in fit isn’t your top priority, you’ll be more than happy with this boot.
The Maysis is one of the best options for a wider foot but will work for every snowboarder. The flex profile and BOA system allow it to accommodate any riding style. It's built for riders who want a wider boot that can hang.
