A more comfortable alpine touring boot for wider feet that still has the performance you need to drive skis really well. It can shred the resort and take you into some terrain you can't access via chairlift. More experienced or aggressive skiers with wider feet will be more than pleased with the fit and power the Ranger One has to offer.

A powerful AT boot that works well for more advanced skiers that have wider feet.
In the alpine touring boot category, if you have a wider foot there aren't too many really solid options out there that perform well while keeping your feet happy. The Fischer Ranger One is a true high-volume boot that is sure to keep your feet alive throughout the course of the day. Even though this is a higher-volume boot does not mean it can't rip. At a 130 flex, this boot is capable of bending just about any ski out there and it won't hold you back as you turn the speed up a notch. On the uphill side, the boot has a smooth and intuitive walk mode that's easy to use and will make ascents a breeze. This isn't the lightest AT boot, it's a downhill-focused, uphill-capable boot built for skiers who need a boot that offers good performance.
The Ranger One 130 feels a little longer and wider than advertised, but not enough to warrant sizing down. Pressure across the instep and on top of the foot is true for a higher volume boot. The liner has a more plush feel but maintains good heel and foot retention to keep you locked in. The Ranger One is also an easy enough boot to modify if you have more sensitive areas on your feet. The cuff is also able to accommodate larger, or more athletic calves with ease.

There aren't a ton of options out there for skiers who want an Alpine Touring boot that doesn't feel like a vice on your foot. The Ranger One is forgiving in the right places to keep your feet happy without putting performance on the back burner. This boot is down for any and all resort days while also offering enough range of motion and tech toes if you wanted to go touring.
