There’s not too many skis in the world built like the Elan Wildcat, this is the rare ski that is very much a frontside-focused carving ski that is actually fun to ski on. Most skis in this category weigh a ton, ski like two planks of wood strapped to your feet, and fly down the mountain but realistically are not that much fun to ski for more than one or two runs. The Wildcats have the same snappy, responsive, super-fun feel as the Elan Ripsticks (Our #1 favorite women’s ski of 2021) but just carve better on groomers and feel quicker edge to edge. They don’t handle off-trail nearly as well as the Ripsticks, but that’s not what these skis are for. Elan basically combined the personality of one of the world’s best all-mountain skis with the shape and specs of a carving ski, and the result really is a combination of the best of both worlds.

We recommend the Tyrolia Attack 12 or the Marker Squire
