The Trace 98 shares a name with an older Armada ski, but it was completely re-done prior to the 19/20 season, so it’s a totally different ski from the old one. It may only be year 2 of the new Trace ski, but it’s already reached legend status amongst The Ski Monster staff. Seriously, there’s not too many skis that come around that ski universally as well as the Trace that are also light enough to throw a touring binding on. Ripstick 94 is one, Ranger 102 is another, and that might be the whole list. Super nimble and fun off-piste, won’t ski like a Kenja on-piste, but it can definitely still hang. And like I said, it's an absolutely awesome ski to throw a Shift on and work on those uphill gains.
