In all of our years in this business we have never said 'Wow' putting on a pair of ski boots. The C.A.S Liner's anatomical shape grabs on to your heel and ankle giving you a sense of security in ski boots you didn't think could exist -- and it gets WAY better after molding! A good fitting liner is nothing without a good fitting shell and Tecnica most definitely achieved that with the Mach1 130 LV. Though the boot says low volume the anatomical shape of the shell and C.A.S liner feels a little more generous then most 98mm ski boots.
On the performance side of the things the Mach1 130 LV is a ski boot built for bosses. There is no ski too stiff and no terrain to challenging for this fine piece of Italian footwear.
FAQ:
How does the LV fit compare to the MV?
The MV is going to have more room on top of the foot, better for higher insteps and it’ll feel a bit wider in the forefoot, length is the same but the wider toe box of the MV might make it feel longer. The heel pocket on the LV will feel a bit narrower than the MV.
The Mach1 130 is a stiff for it's flex rating - no gimmicks here. If responsiveness is what you are looking for on the hill the Mach1 130 will be plenty of ski boot. The fit.... This is one of the best fitting 98mm lasted ski boots you can buy -- no joke. A low volume boot that fits, finally.
The C.A.S Ultrafit Pro Race is la creme dela creme of Tecnica's hand stiched liners. It has one of the best out of the box fits you can find. If you are looking for a liner that is responsive, precise and doesn't hinder snow feel there is no question that the liner will give you great heel retention. And yes.... The liner is very warm.
4 Micro-Adjustable Buckles - 4 sleek micro-adjustable buckles keep your foot locked in place.
Polyether Quick Instep - Most 130 flex ski boots are difficult to put on, NOT the Mach1 130 with it's softer plastic around the instep. Easier to get on even in the cold!
