K2 Spyne 130 HV Ski Boots 2017

K2 Spyne 130 HV Ski Boots 2017

K2 Spyne 130 HV Ski Boots 2017

A SKI BOOT THAT WILL MAKE YOU SKI BETTER.

Looking for an edge that will take things up a notch -- the Spyne 130 can help.  A responsive and precise skiing boot in a high volume shell.  The Spyne 130 HV isn't the widest boot out there but it's in the wide category.  As far as the wide category of ski boots goes this in among the best performing, for skiers that are on expert level skis and need a boot that just fits well.  K2 is no stranger to footwear and they know how to design a boot that fits a wide vareity of feet and Intuition takes care of the rest.  High arch, flat foot, big instep, six toes, whatever issue you may have going on the Spyne 130 is worth a gander.

Forward Flex / Boot Fit

K2 Ski Boot Widths, LV, HV, Standard

The energy interlock is what sets the Spyne 130 apart from other 130 flex ski boots.  It may flex slightly softer than other 130's but it is stiffer laterally becuse of the interlock system -- they got the idea from high rise buildings that are built with steel.  Most other 130 flex boots use rivets to connect the upper and lower shells -- K2's design works really well.  This is the HV fit the widest Spyne shell made. K2 also pre-punched at the Navicular bone making the boot much more comfortable for those with flatter feet or protruding Naviculars bones.  If you're familiar with Intuition you know they fit way better after being molded to your foot - out of the box fit isn't the best way to judge an intuition lined ski boot.

*All K2 Ski Boots flex slightly softer than most boots with the same flex index.

Liner

Intuition PrecisionFit  - Same liner as the Pinnacle 130 without the notch at the achilles for touring mobility.  As Intuition liners go they fit considerably better after being molded especially in the higher end models like this one.  If you've tried the Spyne 130 on and you liked the fit you'll love it way more after being molded; the gaps fill and the pressure points dissipate.

Buckles

4 Micro-Adjustable Buckles - 4 sleek micro-adjustable buckles keep your foot locked in place.

Additional Awesomeness

Powerfuse Spyne - On the spine of the boot you'll notice an additional support in the shape of the 'Y'. This keeps the boot from flexing backwards. There is a lot of talk about forward flex but a boot that doesn't flex backwards easily keeps skiers on top of their skis and reduces shin bang
