Head Adapt Edge 105 Ski Boots 2016

WE'RE SKIERS, THE ABILITY TO ADJUST IS A MUST

On freshly groomed snow you feel confident laying your skis over on a high edge angle, and carving sharply across the fall line. On an icy surface, you are forced to keep your feet underneath you to a much greater extent, in anticipation of a loss of edge grip. As skiers we make adjustments to our technique according to the ever changing conditions of the surfaces we encounter. Shouldn't our equipment be capable of doing the same? Head thinks so. The Adapt Edge 105 is designed for intermediate to advanced skiers. This boot is adjustable in terms of both its forward flex, and its internal width. No flex rating excels in all areas. High speeds and slick surfaces necessitate tight fitting, ultra stiff boots for maximized energy transmission and responsiveness. Free ride terrain is more variable and less predictable than a racecourse or groomed front side trail. Softer, more forgiving boots are superior in their capacity to absorb impacts. In unpredictable terrain, certain features will inevitably sneak up on you. Whether you encounter a burried obstacle, sudden low light conditions, or you just make a mistake (which we all do), a softer boot goes a long way toward minimizing the consequences. Where a race boot would buck you onto the tails of your skis, resulting in the loss of control over your speed and direction, the Head Adapt Edge 105 boot (when reduced to a 95 flex rating) will provide a margin for error.

Forward Flex / Boot Fit

The Head Adapt Edge 105 ski boots have a forward flex rating which adjusts between 90/100 to adapt to different types of terrain and different approaches to skiing.

AdaptiveFit Technology - Provides a variable boot last (width) of 100-102 millimeters (@ size 26.5). When you're on cruise control, or skiing with the kids, its nice to have a little more relaxed fit and a little better range of motion. When you're hot doggin', crank em down for a stiff, performance feel and roll your skis across the fall line with ease... or just point em. With the Head Adapt Edge 100 ski boot you got options, and options are good.

Liner

Perfect Fit HP Liner - This liner employs a variety of foam densities. In the Ankle, high density foam allows energy to be efficiently transferred from your legs to your skis. In the non-essential toe and tongue, softer density foam gives you all day comfort. You need a boot that won't shorten your ski day, you want a boot that is high performance. Here, you make no compromise.

Buckles

Spine Tech Alloy Buckles - These Buckles are micro adjustable. Spine Tech Buckles include a hinge feature which allows the boot to retain its natural, intended shape, even at a strong closure.

Additional Awesomeness

Adaptive Fit Technology - 2 millimeters of last (width) adjustment

Easy Entry Shell Design - Malleable plastic inserts in the cuff/instep areas of the boot allow it to slip on and off with ease.

Softwalk Heel/Grip System - Rubber in the heel absorbs force, so your knees don't have to. The grip system makes metal stairs a little less treacherous.

Double Canting - Misalignment of boot cuffs can result in ultra catchy edges and increase your risk of a fall. Swing in and have us adjust your cuff angle if you have trouble running your skis flat.

Adjustable Rear Spoiler - Micro adjust your forward lean angle, or take a little volume out of the cuff in an instant.

Crikey!!! Looks like we’re sold out.

Give us a shout, for other options that will best suit you. We test everything we sell, and don’t.
