Volkl M7 Mantra Skis 2026

$929.99

A powerful and stable ski that was rebuilt a few years ago. This season we got a graphics update. Just like it's predecessor, the M6 or M5, the Mantra M7 is built for hard-charging and railing turns, it's just easier to ski at lower speeds than ever. Easier to ski means less work, more performance at lower speeds and easier off-trail use. It's still a "Mantra" - if you've skied one you know what we mean. It's a weapon for more aggressive skiers or those who prefer a higher horsepower option. If you don't mind working a little harder to tap into the power a ski has to offer, get a Mantra.

I AM LEGEND.

It's been a couple seasons since Volkl updated construction in the M7 Mantra, and that's okay. It's still one of the top performing skis in its class. The construction updates the M7 got a few years ago maintained that hard-charging personality that Mantra fans have come to know and love, but has a more accessible powerband and takes less work to drive at lower speeds. That's the biggest difference, and improvement, with the M7 over older Mantras like the M6 and M5.

It's still a 96MM all-mountain ski that can hold an edge and provide stability like none other in its category, it's just less sluggish at lower speeds when compared to previous versions of itself. This opens the door for better off-trail performance and more control over the way you shape each turn. When reconstructing a ski to make it less demanding like Volkl did here, you usually have to take something away from it. The M7 is less damp than the previous model, but it's still my top choice out of the 90-100MM category if I want stability and grip.

The new ski never feels nervous or shaky at higher speeds, so it doesn't feel like anything was sacrificed. If anything, the less damp feel makes it less overwhelming at Mach speeds because it takes less effort to release from a turn or scrub some speed. Major improvements across the board from Volkl, and this is now a ski we can recommend to a much wider range of skier types and ability levels.

There's a reason why plenty of skiers keep coming to Volkl Mantras, there is truly nothing out there that feels like a Mantra. Ya gotta ski em to feel what we're talking about here. It may not be the best ski for more casual or less aggressive skiers, but it's a great option for those who demand top end horsepower and a smooth feel at higher speeds.

Who is this for? Skiers looking for an all-mountain ski who prioritize stability, confidence, and carving more than anything. You might like to mix up your terrain and venture off-trail or into some ungroomed stuff, but you don't mind a ski that's gonna take a little more work to get through that stuff.
Who is this not for? Newcomers. Freestyle skiers. Anybody who prioritizes a playful feel and maneuverability.
