A powerful and stable ski that's been reconstructed. Just like it's predecessor, the Mantra M7 is built for hard-charging and railing turns, it's just easier to ski at lower speeds than ever. Easier to ski means less work and more fun at lower speeds and off-trail.

If it's performance you demand performance you will get.
This upcoming winter we get the latest upgrade to the legendary Volkl Mantra in the all-new M7. The newly constructed ski still has that hard-charging personality that Mantra fans have come to know and love, but has a more accessible powerband and takes less work to drive at lower speeds. That's the biggest difference, and improvement, with the M7. It's still a 96MM all-mountain ski that can hold an edge and provide stability like none other in its category, it's just less sluggish at lower speeds. This opens the door for better off-trail performance and more control over the way you shape each turn. When reconstructing a ski to make it less demanding like Volkl did here, you usually have to take something away from it. The M7 is less damp than the previous model, but it's still my top choice out of the 90-100MM category if I want stability and grip. The new ski never feels nervous or shaky at higher speeds, so it doesn't feel like anything was sacrificed. If anything, the less damp feel makes it less overwhelming at Mach speeds because it takes less effort to release from a turn or scrub some speed. Major improvements across the board from Volkl, and this is now a ski we can recommend to a much wider range of skier types and ability levels.
Who's this ski for? Skiers looking for an all-mountain ski who prioritize stability, confidence, and carving more than anything. You might like to mix up your terrain and venture off-trail or into some ungroomed stuff, but you don't mind a ski that's gonna take a little more work to get through that stuff.
Who isn't this ski for? Newcomers. Freeriders. Anybody who prioritizes a playful feel and maneuverability.

Just like the old Mantra, the M7 is powerful, loves carving, loves speed, and can handle any terrain, it's just easier to turn at lower speeds. It's still an aggressive hard-charging ski, but the new construction allows for more versatility and off-trail epicness.
