The Volkl Blaze 94 is probably one of the most un-Volkl like skis that Volkl makes, but that doesn't mean it can't shred. It shreds. They make for an awesome ski for someone building a lighterweight touring set-up or a more playful resort set-up. The Blaze 94 is light and nimble without being nervous while still maintaining great confidence, grip,  and a smooth feel in a turn. The Blaze 94 initiates a turn very easily, they can pivot on a dime, and for a ski this light and nimble they're pretty impressive in a carve. However, because these skis are on the lighter more playful end of the spectrum they aren't the most powerful or damp feeling skis out there and it is possible to find a speed limit on them. But, the Blaze series wasn't built for high speed, high angle, high horse power skiing. The Blaze shines in the tightest trees, softer snow, casual groomer skiing, or for the backcountry.
