Volkl Blaze 94 Skis 2025

Tight trees, soft snow, touring adventures. The Blaze 94 is versatile, lightweight, nimble and it'll make some difficult terrain more accessible. Isn't a powerful ski but can be an awesome time on a groomer, especially for someone who likes some shorter/medium radius turns.

Lightweight, nimble, surfy, and ready to help you blaze the trail.

JAH BLAZE.

I'm just gonna come right out and say it, people are kinda sleeping on the Volkl Blaze 94. Anyone looking for a lightweight all-mountain ski or a hybrid touring setup could be very stoked with this bad boy. The Blaze is probably one of the most un-Volkl like skis that Volkl makes. While their skis are historically known to be powerful and aggressive groomer slayers, the Blaze has a bit more of a playful personality. It's meant for the skier who likes to spend their time searching for the trees and bumps. It's ridiculously nimble, so tossing it through some tighter terrain or a zipper line takes nothing. On groomers, you can have a great time on these, but it's not the most powerful ski and feels a little shakey if you're really bombing. Despite the speed limit, it grips great in medium to short-radius carves, has a lot of energy in and out of a carve, and initiates each turn very smoothly. If that's the kind of skiing you like to do on groomers, these are fire. The Blaze series wasn't built for high-speed, high-angle, high-horsepower skiing, but it can definitely hang. The Blaze shines in the tight trees, softer snow, casual groomer skiing, or for the backcountry.

Who's this ski for? Skiers who prefer a lightweight, maneuverable feel. Newer riders looking for something more versatile than their rentals. Progressing riders looking to get into some trees or bumps skiing.

Who isn't this ski for? Skiers who prioritize high-speed groomer performance.

The Test Crew

We test products year round in order to curate the best gear for you.

A great lightweight option for anyone looking for a more playful ski in the 90-100MM category. If you are looking for something easy to pivot through bumps and trees on this is right up your alley. Also, progressing riders who have made it their goal to explore other parts of the mountain this season will love it.
