After years of design and testing, Ventrix insulation from The North Face is here and ready to change the game. Usually, buying an insulating mid-layer is about finding the right balance of warmth and breathability. Typically as a jacket gets warmer, it also gets heavier and less breathable, so some amount of sacrifice either way is always necessary. What makes the new line of Ventrix gear so special though is that it does away with that sacrifice. Ventrix has tiny holes in key areas that open up when the wearer starts moving, but stay closed during times of low activity. As a result, the jacket literally breathes with you as you wear it.
