If it's above freezing and the sun is shining you probably won't need an insulated ski pant, just a base layer.  The North Face Freedom Pant is a durable relaxed fitting pant that will suit any resort weekend skier that's not skiing in extreme cold.  Nothing over the top with this pant it's just got what you need to get you from first chair to when the lifts stop spinning -- great spring ski pant.  The adjustable waist band makes it easy to accommodate for different layering strategies also key if you have a huge lunch at Mid-Vail.

Fit

Original Fit. The Freedom Pants have what The North Face calls an athletic fit through the waist and seat, however it is a baggier looking pant with a flared leg to accomodate the ski boot.

Performance Level

The North Face HyVent fabric is comparable to a 10k/10k waterproof and breathable fabric.     Durable enough for most avid recreational skiers and breathable enough for the ski resort.

Two zippered hand pockets and an additional cargo pocket on the right thigh that is ideal for a trail map  and big enough to hold a tuna sandwich.

Venting

Two meshed inner thigh vents are your source of air conditioning when the Mercury starts to rise and the blood gets flowing.  

Additional Awesomeness

Kick patches on the bottom of the pants increase durability and provide protection from the sharp edges of your skis.
