Tecnica Mach1 HV 130 Ski Boots 2027
Description
Bootfitter's Notes
Unlike the Mach1 LV and MV, the Mach1 HV 130 did not receive Tecnica's fit updates for 2027. That's because the current HV platform is still one of the best-performing high-volume boots on the market, borrowing much of its design philosophy from the Mach1 MV while maintaining a true high-volume fit.
The Mach1 HV 130 is built around a 103 mm last, but it doesn't ski like the high-volume boots of the past. Thanks to Tecnica's shell design and T-Drive spine, it delivers impressive responsiveness and efficient power transfer throughout the flex. It's a legitimate 130-flex boot capable of driving any ski on the market while offering the comfort higher-volume skiers need.
Fit-wise, the Mach1 HV stands out because of its balance. The forefoot and instep provide the generous room you'd expect from a 103 mm boot, but the liner is denser than most high-volume competitors, creating excellent heel retention and a much more connected feel. The heel is secure without feeling overly aggressive, making it a great option for skiers with larger ankles who still want precision.
The length feels a bit precise right out of the box, but that's typical for the Mach1. Once the liner is heat molded and broken in, it opens up nicely without requiring most skiers to size up. The shell is also one of the easiest performance boots to customize, with Tecnica's CAS system making punches and fit modifications straightforward.
If you have a higher-volume foot but refuse to sacrifice performance, the Mach1 HV 130 is one of the best boots in its class. It offers the comfort of a true high-volume fit with the power, precision, and responsiveness that expert skiers expect from the Mach1 name.
TL;DR
Size Chart
Use the sizing chart below to get a general idea of your ski boot size, but keep in mind that personal shoe habits — like sizing up — can make charts misleading. Ski boots are sized in mondo point, which is simply the length of your foot in centimeters, and there’s no true half sizing — 26.0 and 26.5 are typically the same boot.
