The 2027 Stockli Montero AR is one of those rare skis that feels special from the very first turn. AR stands for All-Mountain Race, and that's exactly what it is—a giant slalom-inspired ski that's been turned down just enough to be enjoyed all day long.

At 84 mm underfoot, the Montero AR sits in a sweet spot. It's wide enough to handle chopped-up snow, spring conditions, and the occasional trip off the groomer, but make no mistake, this ski was built to carve. Lay it over and it feels like it's running on rails.

What separates the AR from a lot of powerful carving skis is how approachable it is. Unlike the AR Pro, which wants speed before it really comes alive, the AR feels eager and responsive at virtually any speed.
