Bootfitter's Notes

The Alpha C BOA 120 uses the exact same shell and fit as the 130, so if you fit well in one, you'll fit well in the other. The internal shape hasn't changed from the previous Alpha generation, but the shell construction has. Salomon's new ExoDrive design and PowerLink architecture create one of the most direct-feeling boots we've tested. The moment you pressure the front of the boot, energy transfers immediately into the ski, and lateral movements produce equally quick edge engagement.

Compared to the 130, the 120 gets a slightly softer flex that makes it easier to bend without giving up the boot's precise feel. It also receives a plusher, lower-density liner that provides a bit more initial comfort and a slightly roomier feel out of the box. The power strap is reduced from 50 mm on the 130 to 45 mm, contributing to the boot's slightly smoother, more forgiving personality.

The cuff BOA system remains one of the easiest to use on the market, providing an even wrap around the lower leg without pressure points. The shell is easy to enter and exit, and Salomon's Custom Shell technology makes it straightforward for bootfitters to customize if needed.

For advanced skiers looking for the Alpha's lightning-fast response without the demanding flex of the 130, the Alpha C BOA 120 hits a really nice sweet spot.

TL;DR

The Alpha C BOA 120 shares the exact same fit and groundbreaking ExoDrive shell as the 130, delivering incredibly direct power transfer and precise edge engagement. A plusher liner, slightly softer flex, and 45 mm power strap make it a more comfortable, approachable option for advanced skiers who don't need the uncompromising feel of a 130.

Size Chart

Use the sizing chart below to get a general idea of your ski boot size, but keep in mind that personal shoe habits — like sizing up — can make charts misleading. Ski boots are sized in mondo point, which is simply the length of your foot in centimeters, and there’s no true half sizing — 26.0 and 26.5 are typically the same boot.
