Salomon's QST 106 Stella is an all mountain ski, don't let the waist width make you think it's not. It can handle firmer snow as well as some fresh stuff. It's heavy enough to blast through crud and chopped up snow, but light enough to feel nimble and is plenty easy to swing around if you end up in some tighter trees. The Stella 106 has a huge sweet spot, so if you're feeling a little off or tired, it's balanced flex pattern will help guide you to the bottom. Since the ski is so well balanced it makes for tackling more difficult/technical terrain easier the first time. That's not to say that the Stella 106 is an intermediate ski, it's just a more accessible ski than most.

TLDR: Built for experts, that want more on wider waisted ski that feels more nimble than the Kenja but more substantial than the Black Pearl 88.
Recommended Binding: The Salomon QST Stella 106s do NOT include a binding, the best never do.
