Versatility combined with a fun shape gets the job done in the trees, pow, and groomers.

I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY.

As the name implies this board wants to dance. With a shorter and wider directional shape, a long nose, and a fishtail, the shape is pretty unique compared to most standard all-mountain boards out there. First things first, DO NOT LET THE SHAPE SCARE YOU. I think a lot of people see a board with a shape like this and think it must be specialized to a specific riding style other than their own, not the case. A lot of our favorite boards; the Burton Deep Thinker, the K2 Excavator, and of course the Dancehaul share this unique directional shape and are all plenty versatile. The Dancehaul is a mid-flex all-mountain board that's approachable and would be a great choice for a lot of riders. A setback stance and big nose make it sweet in soft snow, and a camber shape, mid-flex, and rockered nose make groomers a blast.

The shorter, wider shape is really fun for making tighter radius turns and slashes and is perfect for popping off of bumps and side hits. The board is very snappy and provides a ton of feedback through a turn, not in a chattery way, just a playful way. Because the board is more playful it's not the most powerful board ever. If you're into the shape but like a stiff board, check out the aforementioned Peace Seeker or Excavator. The directional shape allows for awesome control in trees and makes soft snow days even better. Camber underfoot with some additional strength from basalt stringers adds lots of pop. Great edge hold when carving, slightly looser when finishing a turn, but won't wash out unless you're trying to slash it. Not super demanding either, this mid-flex design makes the board great for growing riders who like to play all over the mountain. Honestly, if you're not planning on riding Switch a lot of directional boards are way more fun. Lively, energetic, and overall a good time makes the Salomon Dancehaul a winner for riders who like it all.

Who's this board for? Any all-mountain riders who don't care about riding switch. Anybody looking for a board that's not only wicked fun but also wicked EASY to carve on.

Who isn't this board for? Brand new riders might find it to be unbalanced. The most aggressive riders will find it too soft. Park riders might find it to be a little weird riding switch (but you can get used to it).
