The Ride Lasso Pro is built with hard chargers and powerful riding in mind. A stiffer flex allows for stability and response, allowing riders to ride hard confidently. As a result of a stiffer boot, your board will feel more precise and comfortable in a carve, and on the backside of the mountain, you'll be able to charge over soft snow or chopped-up terrain with a quiet, confident feel around your legs. That confident feel reduces vibration and eats up bumps and turbulence smoothly. This is a great choice for anyone who likes to ride aggressively. Progressing riders might find the boot to be overly demanding, and will be better off in something like the regular Lasso from Ride. The Lasso Pro knows what it wants, and the second you slide your foot in you'll feel it. It's an aggressive boot that wants an aggressive rider. From arcing turns down your favorite groomer, to boosting your favorite rhythm section on the side of the trail, to heading out to your favorite bowl for high tide, the Lasso Pro is here to keep your feet comfortable and confident.
Bootfitter's notes:
The Lasso Pro fits roomy in the toe box but maintains a super dialed fit in the heel. Compared to other wide boots like a K2 Maysis or Salomon Dialogue Wide, the Lasso Pro offers much better heel hold. Two adaptable foam pieces hug your heel on both sides and grab onto it. Full disclosure, this part of the boot can feel a little wonky right out of the box for some feet, but breaks really nicely after a couple of days on snow, especially if it's been heat-molded. On top of those foam pieces, the side Boa controls a piece inside the boot that wraps your foot and gives you a ton of control over the fit in your heel, creating a very precise and locked-in feel. The full-wrap liner does a great job of accommodating a range of calf sizes.
