Comfortable and capable. The Hera is here to make your feet happy.
Fitting with the name Hera, the Greek Goddess who looks over all women, the Hera is built with women riders in mind. A medium flex, with a double Boa system, and adaptable liner allows the Hera to work for a huge variety of riders. The flex pattern falls right in the middle at about 5 out of 10. This provides enough support for most riding types without feeling like too much work to bend into. It's plenty responsive but doesn't lack forgiveness. A double Boa system to latch down the top and bottom of your foot allows for a precise, consistent fit throughout making sure your foot is locked in all day. With your foot locked in, the performance possibilities are endless. Your legs will work less hard and you'll get more out of your days on hill, making it easier to get better and better til you're absolutely dominating every part of the mountain. Easy as that.
The Hera feels roomy in the toe box but offers awesome heel hold. It works for anyone with a wider foot, or anyone with a more narrow foot that prioritizes comfort over the most locked-in feel in the front of their boot. If you prefer a wider boot but have had issues with heel hold in the past, this is the boot for you. Two adaptable foam pieces hug your heel on both sides and grab onto it. Full disclosure, this part of the boot can feel a little wonky right out of the box for some feet, but breaks really nicely after a couple of days on snow, especially if it's been heat-molded. On top of those foam pieces, the side Boa controls a piece inside the boot that wraps your foot and gives you a ton of control over the fit in your heel, creating a very precise and locked-in feel.
The Ride Hera is gonna work for a huge range of riding styles and abilities. It's right in the middle in terms of flex, so it's for anyone who doesn't need the softest boot but also doesn't need the stiffest boot. Let me be honest, most snowboarders just need a medium flex boot.
