The Nordica Unlimited 130 is a robust alpine touring boot with a mid-volume fit. The Unlimited 130 replaces the Nordica Strider 130 and is a major improvement in fit and performance.  This is an excellent option for harder-charging skiers who want a boot that can crush any resort lap but want the option to go on some touring as well. More often than not, when you're looking for a boot that is good at both uphill and downhill you are forced to make some sacrifices on both facets of performance. Nordica has done an unreal job with the Unlimited 130 to minimize performance degradation on the way downhill without forgetting about the need for a fluid and efficient uphill experience. The Unlimited 130 drives most downhill skis with ease and effortlessness allowing you to ski as hard as you want to without worrying about your boots holding you back. This is a 130 flex boot so it makes the most sense for harder charging or more aggressive skiers looking to get the most performance out of their gear. For a mid-volume fit, the Unlimited does an awesome job keeping your foot locked in, but it won't feel overbearing if you have an average foot shape. This is a brand-new boot for this season and one of the boots were most excited about. It skis well and it's smooth on the ascent making it an awesome boot for skiers who spend time both in the resort and out in the backcountry. 

Bootfitter's Notes

The Nordica Unlimited 130 shares a lot of the fit characteristics of the Nordica SpeedMachine line; if that boot fits your foot the chances of the Unlimited 130 fitting are really high. The Unlimited 130 is firm in the heel, true to a mid-volume fit in width, and a tad generous in length. The top of the foot and instep are true to a mid-volume fit but leaning towards the more precise side of things; however, the closure system on the lower shell wraps the foot evenly to avoid buckles digging into the top of your foot even when those buckles are cranked down. The liner is heat moldable which will help to take out any small pressure points you may have in the boot with very minimal work. This is one of the better-fitting alpine touring boots on the market.
