One of the most popular women's boots now has BOA. Boom. The Nordica SpeedMachine 95w is a great boot for a range of skiers; beginners, more experienced skiers, and to all those in between. At a 95 flex, it's a major step up from rental boots and it offers awesome responsiveness for more experienced skiers who don't need to be in the stiffest flexing boot. The SpeedMachine 95 offers good comfort, solid warmth, and good foot retention for average, to slightly wider feet. At a 95 flex, it's capable of sending energy to skis smoothly and predictably which will be appreciated across all skill levels. These boots make sense for beginners who want to dive into their first real boot, up to more advanced skiers who may prioritize comfort and forgiveness over performance. 

Bootfitter's Notes

The SpeedMachine 95 has a plush liner but is more precise fitting than the softer flexing SpeedMachine 85. It is snug in the heel, and the fit on top of the foot and instep is average for a mid-volume boot but not aggressive. Length is generous in the toes but not enough to worry about sizing down. The cuff is also forgiving enough for skiers with larger or more athletic calves. If you want more precision in the fit and a more responsive flex, check out the SpeedMachine 105 or 115.

Ski boots are sized in mondo point, which is simply the length of your foot in centimeters, and there’s no true half sizing — 26.0 and 26.5 are typically the same boot.
