The Nordica Santa Ana 87 is one of the most impressive skis in the category and is sure to give the wildly popular Blizzard Black Pearl 88 a run for its money. The Santa Ana series has been around for quite some time now and has become one of the more popular women's specific skis on the market. The Santa Ana 87 is a brand new ski for this season and we can say, with certainty, that she's the best version of herself. At 87mm underfoot the Santa Ana 87 is quick edge to edge and provides solid grip even on icier ski days. For a ski that is geared towards cruising or crushing groomers the Santa Ana has a bit more rocker in the tip and tail than most of the comparable skis in the category -- making it a more well-rounded option and more capable off-trail. The Santa Ana 87 is built for skiing smooth groomers and carving nice turns but it won't feel out of place if you decide to get adventurous every now and then. Compared to previous versions of the Santa Ana, the new 87 is more forgiving and easier to balance on while also feeling a touch more powerful and energetic. Having skied these next to the previous versions, it's easy to see that Nordica has done an awesome job improving performance and widening the range of skiers the Santa Ana works for. 

Who is this ski for? Any skier who spends most of their time on trail, cruising groomers who still need a bit of versatility for more adventurous ski days. 

Who isn't this ski for? Skiers who hate great skis. Skiers who are looking for a wider ski that offers more versatility in softer snow or tighter terrain.
