The Mammut Haldigrat HS Hooded Jacket brings serious weather protection without the heavy, stiff feel you might expect from a 30K shell. It’s built with freeriding in mind, but at 651 grams it’s light enough to be a legitimate option when you’re earning your turns too.
Mammut’s DRY Expedition membrane delivers 30K waterproofing and 30K breathability, while the 40D shell keeps things relatively light and easy-moving. X-vented underarm zippers provide plenty of airflow on the way up or when you’re skiing hard, and the snow-sports-specific fit leaves room for warm layers underneath.
The details are properly ski focused: a helmet-compatible hood, removable powder skirt, wrist gaiters, AquaGuard two-way front zipper, and a ton of well-placed storage. For someone splitting time between resort freeriding and touring, the Haldigrat hits a really useful middle ground.
