The Lange XT3 Free 120 LV is for narrow feet or skiers who want an unrivaled, performance oriented fit in a alpine touring capable boot. The walk mode and a tech toe allow you to click into a touring boot and get yourself into the backcountry. However, while this is a touring boot the Lange XT3 Free 120 LV shines on the descent. This boot can outski a lot of true downhill boots without trying too hard. At a 120 flex it's smooth and responsive without being punishing for less advanced skiers or difficult to put on for anyone. This boot makes sense for intermediate skiers to grow into or more advanced skiers who don't need to be in the stiffest boot out there. If you are looking for a touring capable boot that can crush resort laps and drive skis with power and stabilty this is the boot for you. If you want something with more power, check out the Lange XT3 Free 130. 

Bootfitter's Notes

The Lange XT3 Free 120 is one of the more precise fitting AT options on the market. It shares some fit characteristics with the Lange Shadow LV boots so if that boot fits you, this should too. It may feel slightly short out of the box, but not enough to warrant sizing up. The heel hold is solid and Lange has made strides to improve the liner quality to provide a more firm, snug fit.
