The Shadow 130 LV offers an impressive amount of performance and is a great fit for more advanced skiers who are after performance. A low-volume fit and a stiff flex make this one of the higher-performing recreational boots on the market

YOU MERELY ADOPTED THE DARK, THE SHADOW WAS BORN IN IT.

The Lange Shadow 130 LV is one of the most badass boots for the 23/24 season. The Shadow series replaced the Lange RX series and considering how popular the Lange RX was, Lange knew they had to knock the replacement out of the park. They did. The Shadow 130 is more powerful, better fitting, and an all-around better ski boot than the Lange RX 130. The Shadow 130 LV is built for expert or aggressive skiers looking to get the most performance out of their skis. This boot does have a low-volume fit that works for skiers with narrow foot shapes or skiers who prioritize a locked-in, secure-feeling boot that will never hold them back on the hill. The Shadow transfers energy from the skier to their skis incredibly well. It's responsive, has solid stiffness, and great rebound to keep you skiing as hard as you want for as long as you please. Considering this is a 130 flex boot with a dense liner, it's not a difficult boot to put on or take off and it has a higher warmth level than some other boots it may be competing against. If you're a good skier and want a great boot that won't ever stutter, no matter how hard you push it, the Lange Shadow is what you need.

Bootfitter's notes:

The Shadow 130 LV is a true low-volume boot, however, Lange hasn't thrown all of the comfort aspects to the wayside. The Shadow is firm in the heel and precise around the Achilles to keep you locked down. The sides of the feet are snug, most notably in the mid-foot area, but a tad generous for a 97mm last in the forefoot, so you're toes will be happy all day. You may feel some excess pressure on the end of your toes before the boot is molded to your feet; this will go away after the molding process. The instep and top of the foot are slightly generous for a low-volume foot which makes this a good option for skiers with a higher instep or higher arches. The cuff of the boot is generous enough to accommodate larger or more athletic calves.
