The Lange Shadow 115 MV is a brand-new boot for this season and is one of the highest-performing women's specific boots on the market. The Lange Shadow 115 has a mid-volume fit that makes sense for stronger skiers with average feet. The 115 flex is powerful enough to bend even the burliest of skis easily and predictably. Lange has introduced some new tech on the Shadow boot as well. The "Suspension Blade" on the spine of the boot allows the top end of the flex pattern to be easily accessed making the boot feel more natural and fluid as you send power to your skis. It also helps to provide a more responsive feel and better rebound than the Lange RX could (the boot the Shadow replaced). The Shadow 115 is built for harder-charging, advanced skiers who want to squeeze every last ounce of performance out of their skis but don't want to squeeze the life out of their feet. 

Bootfitter's Notes

The Shadow 115 has a mid-volume fit and a liner that is appropriate for a 115 flex boot. Skiers with average feet will find the Shadow to be generous in the forefoot and denser in the mid-foot area --providing a well-cradled feel without too much compression. The Shadow is also leaning towards more generous across the instep and top of the foot. The length on the end of the toes is the only area where this boot might feel a tad uncomfortable before it gets molded to your foot. Don't fret, the toe box will open up nicely after the boot is broken in. The heel and Achilles area are firm and precise to help keep your heel locked down in the boot. The cuff area on the Shadow 115 is accommodating enough for skiers who may have athletic, or larger calves. The heat moldable liner and easy to work on shell allow the fit of the Shadow to be manipulated easily if you experience any pressure points.

Ski boots are sized in mondo point, which is simply the length of your foot in centimeters, and there’s no true half sizing — 26.0 and 26.5 are typically the same boot.
