These things make the the old Pinnacle series feel like a house pet, the Mindbender 99 Ti is a wild beast that has other skis gabbing about what a savage it is. While the tip of the ski is a boss, the tail of the ski is able to cut loose; K2 is able to accomplish this by having the carbon braid at 45 degree angles in the tip and 10 degree angles in the tail.  The 10 degree angle in the tail is less strong torsionally making it a lot easier to feather the turn -- killer for soft snow performance.  The Mindbender 99 Ti, shreds. It's predictable, powerful and an all-around excellent tool for skiers that ski it all.  If you've skied the Mindbender 108 Ti, the 99 is more powerful feeling, due to the Maple core.

FAQ:

How does the Mindbender 99 Ti compare to the Volkl Mantra M5?

The Mindbender 99 Ti is a powerful feeling ski, but it's an easier feeling ski than the Mantra M5, it's also a bit more maneuverable.  The larger sweet spot in the K2 makes skiing more technical terrain easier but it isn't so easy that you feel like the ski isn't giving anything back.  The Mantra M5 requires a more skilled driver to get everything out of the ski.

Whats the difference between the 2020 Mindbenders and the 2021 models?

The construction of the ski remains the same, all K2 did was add a new paint job.

Maple-Aspen

Titanal + Carbon Braid

Designed by: K2 // Built by: K2, China

TLDR: Frontside performance on a soft snow frame.

Recommended Binding: The K2 Mindbender 99 Ti's do NOT include a binding, awesome skis never do. We recommend the Marker Griffon with 110 mm brake.
