K2 Mindbender 96 C Skis 2024

As a new addition to the K2 Mindbender line, the idea behind the 96C is to maintain the DNA of a Mindbender but with a more agile feel. At first glance, the construction of the 96C is comparable to the Mindbender 99Ti, but instead of a titanal layout, they use carbon so it's an entirely different ski. It's a Mindbender ski in a more manuverable and accessible package. Easier to pivot, easier to initiate and release from a turn, and ultimately easier to ski. This is going to make sense for anyone looking for a more approachable option, or anyone looking to spend their days in the trees or bumps. It has a quicker feel underfoot so blasting your way through tight terrain is going to be a lot easier on these than its beefier counterpart. The 96C can still rip fast and aggressive runs, but it's just going to feel a little less powerful than one of the Ti versions. Just because it's not as powerful doesn't mean it's not a good time on groomed terrain. Turn initiation is easier and it's easier to release the tails, so it has an energetic feel when trying to link together some medium to short-radius carves. 

Who's this ski for? Skiers who are most at home off-trail, that's where the 96C is most at home. Skiers looking for an approachable option in the 95-100mm category. 

Who isn't this ski for? Redliners, B-liners, and straightliners. Whatever you speed demons are calling yourselves these days, you might want something more powerful (like the Mindbender 99TI).
