The Head Kaliber 130 BOA is the real deal—it’s a proper, high-performance boot that just happens to use the BOA system to wrap the shell and cuff. Having skied this boot from the East Coast to Austria, with the Head team, we can honestly say it's one of the best boots Head has dropped in a long time. With a 130 flex and a 100mm last, the Kaliber is designed for more aggressive skiers who want precision, power, and a fit that doesn’t make you want to rip your boots off after lunch. The midfoot hold is snug and secure, but never punishing. Just a smooth, micro-adjustable fit that locks in and stays locked in.

Performance-wise, the Kaliber brings the heat for intermediate to expert skiers. It's powerful, with a progressive flex that doesn’t feel dead or overly punishing. There’s a surprising amount of rebound and response, and it feels just as confident railing high-speed groomers as it does mobbing through crud or tight trees. The liner molds well and helps dial in the out-of-the-box fit, which is already pretty anatomical. While it isn't the most precise boot on the market, it's precise where it counts and can be worked to accommodate higher volume feet that end up in this boot.

Bottom line: Head nailed it. The Kaliber 130 BOA is a clean, responsive, all-mountain charger that skis as good as it looks. This is how modern ski boots feel—precise, powerful, and way more comfortable than they have any right to be.

Bootfitter's Notes

The Head Kaliber is a more precise mid-volume boot. Length is on the more generous side of things due to a well shaped toe box. The heel is precise but not overbearing. Low volume feet will still feel solid in this boot if you're someone who doesn't like a ton of compression. The moldability of the shell and liner make this boot easy to modify for wider foot shapes as well.

Size Chart

Use the sizing chart below to get a general idea of your ski boot size, but keep in mind that personal shoe habits — like sizing up — can make charts misleading. Ski boots are sized in mondo point, which is simply the length of your foot in centimeters, and there’s no true half sizing — 26.0 and 26.5 are typically the same boot.
