Faction Prodigy 1 Capsule Skis 2027

Prodigy is Faction's directional twin-tip series, and the Prodigy 1 Capsule is the narrowest, most park-focused ski in the lineup.

At 88 mm underfoot, it's incredibly quick edge-to-edge and feels right at home on firm snow. The poplar and ash core gives it a true medium flex — enough backbone to ski fast and hold an edge, but not so stiff that you have to work your ass off to have fun on it.

There's also a healthy amount of camber underfoot, which gives the Prodigy 1 a ton of energy. It carves way better than you'd expect from a freestyle ski and has plenty of pop when you're looking for something to jump off.

And in the park, it's top tier.

The directional twin-tip shape gives you enough ski in front to drive it around the mountain while still feeling completely natural skiing switch, hitting jumps, sliding rails, and generally beating the hell out of it.

Faction knows that's exactly what's going to happen, too.

They added a carbon and rubber Stomp Pad underneath the binding area that's integrated directly into the core. It helps reduce vibration, adds stability underfoot, and reinforces the part of the ski that takes the most abuse.

What makes the Prodigy 1 so good isn't just how well it skis in the park. It's how little you give up everywhere else.

You can carve groomers, ski bumps, hit every side hit you see, lap the park, and basically ski the entire mountain however you want. The only thing it's really missing is the width for deeper snow.

If you're looking for a narrower all-mountain twin tip that can legitimately be your everyday ski, the Prodigy 1 is really tough to beat.
