Dynastar M-Free 94 Skis 2027

The Dynastar M-Free 94 is for skiers who don't necessarily want to be locked into a carve all day.

At 94 mm underfoot, it's an incredibly versatile width, but the shape and flex are what give this ski its personality. There's plenty of rocker, a softer flex through the tips and tails, and a solid platform underfoot. The result is a ski that's easy to pivot, slash, and move around without feeling like a noodle when things get rough.

Trees and bumps are where the M-Free 94 really starts to make sense. It changes direction with very little effort and doesn't punish you when you get a little backseat or your technique gets sloppy. The ski wants to release rather than hook up and take you for a ride, which makes technical terrain feel a whole lot more manageable.

Dynastar's Hybrid 2.0 construction deserves some credit here. The combination of poplar and polyurethane keeps the ski relatively light and energetic while doing a surprisingly good job of absorbing vibration. You get a smooth ride without the heavy, planted feeling that can make some all-mountain skis feel like work.

On groomers, it'll absolutely carve a good turn, especially at moderate speeds. But that's not really why we'd buy it. The M-Free 94 would rather make three different turn shapes, slash the side of the trail, hit something, and then duck into the trees.

Compared to the wider M-Free 100, the 94 is quicker, easier to get on edge, and a little more forgiving. The 100 brings more stability and soft-snow capability, while the 94 is the more nimble option for skiers who spend a lot of time in bumps, trees, and mixed terrain.

This is one of those skis that makes the mountain feel like a playground without requiring a freestyle background to enjoy it.
