The Burton Waverange X takes everything Burton has learned from years of building premium snowboard boots and packages it into one incredibly well-rounded design.

The biggest improvements are to the overall fit through clever features that actually work.

The addition of Burton's Internal Ankle Hammock does an excellent job securing the heel without forcing you to overtighten the boot. The result is better heel hold, improved control, and a more comfortable fit that stays consistent throughout the day.

Burton also introduced the new Asym Imprint 3 liner, and it's one of our favorite updates. Instead of relying on a traditional tongue construction, the liner wraps the foot and lower leg more naturally, reducing pressure points across the top of the foot while creating a smoother, more even fit around the ankle and shin. Once heat molded, it only gets better.

Inside the boot, the shape feels anatomical, precise, and performance focused without being too aggressive. The heel and ankle are comfortably snug, while the forefoot provides enough room that your toes don't feel cramped after several hours on snow. It's a performance-oriented fit designed around the foot shape most riders actually have.

On snow, the Waverange X feels equally balanced. It has enough support to confidently carve, ride steeper terrain, and push your riding when you want to, but enough forgiveness that it never feels overly demanding. It's the kind of flex that works just as well for a full day of cruising as it does when conditions are too good to slow down.

If you're coming from a Felix, Ritual, or another Burton boot, you'll immediately notice the improved heel retention and the way the new liner wraps your foot. They're subtle changes on paper, but meaningful ones once you're actually riding.

For a huge percentage of riders, this boot is simply going to fit—and that's about the highest compliment we can give a snowboard boot.
