It doesn't get better than this. The Ions are in a league of their own.

The Burton Ion is the pinnacle of performance in a snowboard boot. It's the most badass boot there is. When you put your foot into the Ion, you'll immediately be able to tell it's an aggressive snowboard boot because it feels more rigid than most other boots. It takes more force to flex into, meaning it's more responsive and stable at higher speeds. Anyone who loves nuking down the mountain and laying over huge turns will find the Ion to be the perfect companion for their feet. Beyond its high-speed confidence, anybody who knows how to drive their weight into a boot will benefit from the increased support. If you've found other boots have lacked substance once you really start to push it, it's time to set your sights on the Ion.

Beyond the stiffness, the fit of the Ion is also performance-driven. Riders who demand the most precise and locked-in fit will appreciate how well the Life Liner grabs onto your foot and holds its shape. Double Boa gets the cuff close to your shin and helps pull your heel and ankle into the back of the boot to eliminate any heel lift. The overall stiffness of the boot is unmatched and provides the most support and responsiveness possible, and its precise fit is just the cherry on top. If you want to ride hard, you need a boot that can handle it, and the Ion is fully equipped to shred the gnarliest terrain at the highest level.

Bootfitter's notes:

The Burton Ion is the snuggest and most precise fitting snowboard boot I've tried on. It's true to size with a narrow fit and incredible ankle lock. Just like every Dual Boa boot, the fit in the heel is precise and dialed (see what I did there). For how rigid this boot feels, it's surprisingly comfortable when you put it on. Burton has some of the best liners in the game right now.

Someone with a wider foot will find their true size to feel short and overly snug just because of how narrow the liner is, if you have a wider foot and want something stiff, check out the Ride Lasso Pro or even the Vans Verse
