The best of the best when it comes to mid-flex snowboard bindings. A unique design makes it one of the most playful bindings while maintaining plenty of confidence.

TOP GUN.

The Burton Genesis EST is a top-end binding that performs with a focus on comfort. Often thought of as one of the stiffest bindings that Burton makes, when it's actually more flexible compared to the Burton Cartel X. The additional flex is most noticeable from the built-in suspension. The highback wraps to the shape of your boot, which creates comfort since you're not leaning into a hard highback but does increase responsiveness because your boot can't slide up. Other features help align your leg properly for a stronger direct connection to the board with less of a roll or strain on the knee. Both toe and ankle straps are stitchless for max durability and a perfect fit that cradles the boot perfectly. While the Burton EST system is only compatible with the Burton Channel System, the perks of EST are pretty great. The Hinge System makes a noticeable difference by reducing the binding footprint on the board for vibration absorption and natural board flex, the ability for the binding and board to work together while under tension reduces foot fatigue and overall connection to the board. The Burton Genesis EST is lightweight, crazy comfortable, and can handle aggressive riding. It's simply one of Burton's best and a team favorite.

*Burton EST channel required.

The Test Crew

We test products year round in order to curate the best gear for you.

The Genesis is not a super aggressive binding, so if you're only priority is high-speed stability, check out something stiffer. Aside from that there aren't many snowboarders who wouldn't love the Genesis.
