A low volume, powerful boot that is built for harder charging skiers. The walk mode and tech toe make this a sweet choice for alpine touring while also being more than a beast in the resort. Bonus points for the killer looks. This boot is a TSM favorite.

Does it all and does it all well. Powerful on the downhill and smooth on the uphill.
The new Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD 130 Boa is one of the most badass boots on the market. Atomic has revamped the line with a beefed-up shell that offers top-of-the-line performance on the way down, an incredibly smooth walk mode for the ascent, and a Boa fit system that adds to an unrivaled fit and feel. Compared to the previous Ultra XTD 130, this boot behaves way more like a traditional downhill boot. It offers awesome power and responsiveness to allow you to drive even the burliest of skis without missing a beat. For an alpine touring boot, this is one of the best for downhill skiing. On the way up, a tech toe and smooth range of motion make touring days a breeze. While the Ultra XTD series is classified as one boot that does it all well, this is a boot that makes the most sense for skiers who spend the majority of their time crushing resort laps and take the occasional trip into the backcountry or side country. Call it a 70/30 boot, or 80/20. This is a more aggressive fitting boot that expert skiers, skiers with low-volume feet, or skiers who want an unrivaled locked-in feel will more than enjoy. If you're looking for a more relaxed fit, check out the Hawx Prime XTD series. And if you don't need to be in the stiffest boots out there, the Ultra XTD comes in a 120 and 110 flex for more intermediate skiers or lighter-weight skiers.
Precise in all the right places. Compared to the previous generation the liner is more anatomical around the ankle bones and the heel hold is an improvement, it fits more like a regular downhill boot. Length feels true to size and is soft on the end of the toes thanks to a liner update. The heel and ankle will be firm and offer solid foot retention thanks to a dense foam in the liner. The instep is true to a low-volume fit but not intense. The ability to heat mold the shell and the liner during the fitting process makes this boot fit like a glove with minimal work. The Boa dial is easy to use and wraps the foot well without crushing the top of your foot. The cuff is forgiving enough to accommodate more athletic calves and for skiers with skinnier legs Atomic includes a volume reducer that can be added in if necessary.
