Let me introduce you to one of the best alpine touring boots for female skiers. This is the Atomic Hawx Prime XTD 115; a high-performing boot that won't stutter on the downhill while also having a walk mode and tech binding inserts. If you're looking at this boot; let's face it, you rip and you want a boot that won't hold you back if you're skiing in the resort but you also need a boot that is efficient enough to take you out of bounds on quick hikes, or tours in the backcountry. Built for downhill, but uphill capable that's the Prime XTD 115. If your aim is a boot with little to no sacrifice at the resort, you're in the right place. A stiff and responsive flex pattern is perfect for skiers that want to get the most out of their skis on the way downhill. Take this boot on a tour or hike and you'll definitely be impressed by how smooth each stride you take is and how efficiently you'll ascend. Not many boots in the alpine touring category can compete as far as downhill performance goes, this boot is one of the best. Are there boots that are lighter and more efficient on the ascent? yes, but there aren't many boots that combine both the downhill and uphill side of things this well. If you ski in the resort more often than not, want a high performance boot, and still need the option to go touring this is one of the best boots for a one boot quiver.

The Prime XTD 115 is a true mid-volume fit. If your current boots are mid-volume then the likelihood of these working is high, especially with a heat-moldable shell. The toe box is a little more pointed than some other ski boots so you may notice a more precise fit on the outside of your big toe and pinky toe. The heel pocket has great hold to keep you feeling snug and secure without feeling like you shoved your foot into a vice. Any small pressure points you feel in the boot when it is brand new will come right out when the liner and shell are molded to your feet with very minimal work. The cuff on the XTD 115 is also accommodating enough for more athletic calves.
