The Lange XT3 Free 115 is a women's specific alpine touring boot with a focus on downhill performance. With a tech toe and a smooth walk mode, this boot is more than capable of getting you uphill on a touring day, but it is on the slightly heavier side of the spectrum when compared to other boots in this category. The benefit to a slightly heavier, more downhill oriented AT boot is performance on the descent. This is a ripping boot that quite honestly skis better than some true downhill boots. Lange, being a race heritage brand, knows how to build a boot that shreds. At a 115 flex, the XT3 is powerful, precise and will allow you to sqeeze every last ounce of performance out of your skis.  It's smooth, responsive and is sure to keep you confident no matter how dicey the terrain is or how hard you want to drive your skis. If you want a boot that can tour, crush resort laps and prioritize performance, this is a definite winner. 

How's the fit? A true Mid Volume fit in width that offers solid foot retention. Instep is generous while the heel and ankle are snug and firm. Length is on the more precise side, but not enough to warrant sizing up.
